Monday Brew & Muse is ideally a weekly roundup of things I’ve done, seen and loved, and any random thoughts and musings that have drifted through my mind. I often find some neat things on the internet that I think others might think are cool too. So, grab a cuppa with me and let me talk more shit for a few minutes while you read.
the brew
Today is a lovely Yorkshire black tea with a splash of oat milk. I didn’t really sleep last night, just one of those nights, so I am hoping this will bring me life.
The musings
I went running three times this past week. THREE TIMES! This is a big deal. My feet are doing okay, we’re just taking it day by day but we have progress and I love it.
Today I am in a jumper and the air is chilled. I can smell a neighbours fire roaring and it brings me right back to Tasmania. Unsure why since almost everyone has a fireplace where I am and each winter you can smell it so it is not unique to Tassie. But, I suppose the dewy mornings, chilled air and thick fireplace smoke somehow reminds me of Tasmania and I love it. In just a few short weeks I’ll be back there, my other home away from home away from home.
I’m getting regular updates of the cherry blossoms that have bloomed in Squamish and I am aching to be home. But, it’s okay, this time next year…!
monthly Stay In Club
Alright May is when it kicks off. Themes are still undecided. I have a swathe of cookbooks on my dining table that I need to dive into for inspo, but, with the weather cooling down I am actually considering some type of dinner over an outdoor firepit. Monthly breakfast and movie night themes are tbd.

what we’re cooking, good looking
Somehow this new week came at me fast. This week is a bit all over the place as I gear up to head to north Queensland for work next week. So, I’m thinking quick and easy yet nourishing meals. With the continued cooler change in the weather, it might be time to whip out the slow cooker more often.
currently on my bookshelf
Nothing new this week as I continue to read through my books from last week.
from around the internet
Hear all about how The Dirt Company and Great Wrap started on the One Wild Ride podcast
As a former social media manager for Vega, a nutritional supplement company, I was intrigued to listen to Georgie Stevenson talk about her company Naked Harvest over on She’s On The Money poddy.
Did you hear that Strava has acquired Runna? I’m nervous about this. Runna is a great app and Strava is mediocre at best. I was particularly miffed when they bought FATMAP and decimated it so I hope they keep Runna as it is.
I’m deep diving back into hearing stories of women building cool shit so I’ve been loving following Candy Kemp’s Building an 8 Figure Business in 12 Months (8 Figure Sprint) series on TikTok
